What A Wednesday!

Tom Weaver shared his recovery story. He said commitment and accountability made a huge difference because it allowed him to "go against the grain". Afterward, we circled up, and community members gathered to ask Tom more about the recovery process. For the second day in a row, a youth group from Indiana helped us set up lunch as well as other tasks around the center. Thanks Tom and Thanks Indianians!

Mmm homemade apple pie and chili!

A Sing-A-Long Monday

This morning we watched Amazing Grace and formed a
sandwich-makin' assembly line to feed some
hungry bellies at tomorrow's Job Fair!

We circled up for our daily Community Gathering, everyone
introduced themselves, then we discussed the film.

We topped off gathering with a sing-a-long of Amazing Grace...

...graciously accompanied by the piano.

Thoughts On Recovery

Mike Farrand led a discussion about the recovery process. Farrand advocated prayer, as his personal relationship with Christ played a vital role in his healing. Detoxification is also very necessary to the process before joining a treatment program.

OCP farm offers a free 9-month program, which provides detox and treatment to men fighting their addictions.
